Don’t be fooled! We paid over $100 for our party of five to enter the safari and we all agreed that we would have paid double if we could have gotten out of that horrific jam after the first 10 minutes. With so many choices, where do you begin? Take a look at all the amazing things to do while at Six Flags Great Adventure-from pulse-pounding roller coasters to gentler options for tots. The day was a claustrophobic jam of people desperately seeking entertainment during the pandemic. I almost paid, but then realized that it was a ridiculous fee and did not seem warranted. The website also asks you to prepay a fee of $20 for parking. The safari itself was certainly adequate, but given the disorganization of the crowd and the fact that the activity took 4 hours longer than advertised, it was a disgraceful experience. In a normal situation with a reasonable crowd, the animals were interesting and engaging. Desperate for food and bathroom facilities, we were exhausted and miserable. During the safari, you are stuck in a bumper to bumper two lane traffic jam and you are unable to escape. Three hours later, we cheered as we finally approached the exit. We were told that the safari should take approximately one hour to complete. Once we entered the park, we waited about another hour in bumper to bumper traffic to enter the area where the animals were located. We assumed there was an accident, but the traffic was the start of an hour and half line just to approach the entrance to the safari. The moment we approached the Six Flags exit, there was a several mile backup approaching the park. The website stated that capacity was limited by reservation time. After several emails and phone calls, I finally made a reservation. After purchasing tickets, I attempted to make an online reservation, but the system was not functioning properly. We visited the drive thru safari during the COVID 19 pandemic.
